I got to brainstorming with all the things I had sitting around. I had a couple of old Ford flywheels from Fords that I had junked out in the last couple years, and figured that I could use those for wheels for a bandsaw. I also had a couple front hubs and brackets from an old Chevy Cavalier that I could use for bearings and support for the wheels of a bandsaw. I had some old steel sitting around that I could for a frame and table. I also had a large piece of sheet aluminum that I could use for covers for the wheels and the table.
As mentioned earlier, the amazing blend of technologies used for its manufacture deserves a special mention, which in turn includes ceramic and titanium, each with its own significance. Stable and even distribution of heat across the hair, elimination of damaging spots, and efficient heat retention are some of the highlights of ceramic technology. Titanium also renders the same benefits of ceramic technology, however with the exception that it provides the added benefit of snag free hair styling with its properties such as lightweight strength, scratch free resistant and durability.
So whether you decide to build a bandsaw or something else with the things you have collecting dust in your shop, dont throw them away when spring cleaning time comes, you may just need them later when you think of something that you want or need, but dont want to pay the price commercially. A couple of other things I made with things just laying around in my shop was a utility trailer and a small overhead hoist, which enabled me to lift heavy things such as my rototiller and sprayer up to the top level of my shop.
